Back in school, I was never the brightest student. I would always skip classes and never try at all because I’ve always thought that I would never go far. When I applied for Project Starfish, I had doubts that I’ll end up dropping out halfway but I put in some hope and faith in myself that I would actually make a change. I also wanted to try and get my N level certificate so that I would at least have something to look forward to in the future.

I had doubts in myself that I would drop out halfway but when I got comfortable with the environment, I felt motivated and determined because the teachers at Project Starfish are so willing to go the extra miles for us to make sure that we understand what we’re doing.

My biggest takeaway away is that nothing is impossible if there is a will there will always be a way to achieve. Most importantly, I also learnt to not doubt myself. If I haven't tried, I should not say I cannot do. I should always try to do before saying to myself I can't do it.

I am currently aiming to go into ITE Nursing course next year or take my O levels to get into Poly nursing. For me, I feel that having a positive mindset will allow you to experience a great future.
