When I got referred to this program, I was quite anxious at first but I had a goal in mind and that was to at least finish my N levels and get any form of help I can from the teachers there. My mindset was extremely clear and open for any tips and advice. When lessons started, all the teachers there were super kind, extremely helpful and friendly despite me being an extremely slow and dull person at times when it comes to studying. Overall, my anxiety before I applied instantly vanished when I got to know everyone better!
My biggest takeaway from graduation was that I finally did it. I have been out of the Secondary School life for 3-4 years so coming back suddenly and having to take N levels towards the end of the year was quite a jump. But after graduation, despite my results being average, the help and tips from all the teachers honestly made me learn everything really quickly and understand the base concept of each individual subject. Overall, I'm really thankful to Project Starfish. What I can say is never be scared to take big jumps especially if you've never tried to. You've got to be confident in your ability no matter what, that's what the teachers here have taught me.
My plans for the future are extremely expandable and unpredictable, I always focus on the present before anything, so I can't give you a straight answer but I can say that I have big goals in mind and I will give it my 100% to accomplish all of them!
