Batch of 2022

Back when I was studying with Starfish in 2022, I can recall showing up for lessons rather consistently despite struggling with depression and anxiety so debilitating that leaving the house would result in breakdowns beyond any rationality. That was all thanks to the teachers, as well as tutors, having cultivated a warm (very homely), diverse environment with the clear goal of doing good, be it academically or in terms of being there for the community.

They teach with patience, precision, forgiveness and clarity while simultaneously managing to keep lessons engaging for all. These were some of the factors that convinced me to come back, to display my gratefulness towards the people who unknowingly had changed my life for the better, and in many ways, I had hoped that my dedication would serve as a homage to those who never failed to hold a space in their hearts for youths they barely know.
