There are many youths out there who are eager to learn and advance themselves but due to certain circumstances, they did not get to thrive in the mainstream school system. Project Starfish has given me numerous lasting memories, but one that will always be close to my heart is when a student excitedly asked if I will be coming for the next lesson.
Being a volunteer for Project Starfish is a fulfilling and rewarding experience. I was able to make a positive impact, develop valuable skills, and explore my passions and interests.
While waiting for my A-level results in 2021, I started volunteering with Project Starfish. At that point, I was unsure about the career I wanted to pursue. Through my volunteering experience, I discovered that I enjoyed educating and communicating with people. Knowing this helped me make my decision to be a Nutritionist.
Project Starfish makes me feel grateful to have a chance to pursue my education, and it always motivates me to never give up despite any obstacles.
